This term, the Indian Peaks Parent Leadership Team has decided to focus their efforts on increasing family involvement in the area of Math, specifically in the area of math facts. Two Family Math Nights were hosted last week: Tuesday, Jan. 12th and Thursday, Jan. 14th from 6-7:15 pm. About 50 families participated in the event!  The school supplied materials for teachers and parents to lead games families could use to help them master their facts.   Parents were encouraged to learn the math games without their children to fully engage in its content.  Students participated in other math activities separate from their parents.  All games were developed to be taken home to work on with students. This was the first of a few parent nights Indian Peaks will be having this year focusing on Math.
